Finalmente dopo anni di attesa Shenmue III è stato ufficialmente annunciato. Durante la conferenza di Sony, quando le luci dei locali erano ormai spente e le saracinesche abbassate, un trailer condito dalla presenza del maestro ha folgorato i presenti, annunciando al pubblico dopo anni e anni di attesa, una campagna kickstarter per finanziare il famoso sequel della saga che tanto amiamo. Un trailer che ha spezzato anni di rumor, di silenzi, di cuori sofferenti e lacrime versate.

Shenmue III verrà finanziato tramite Kickstarter ed è previsto per Playstation 4 e PC. E’ sviluppato da Ys.net, il team di Yu Suzuki nato nel 2008 e gira su Unreal Engine 4. Il budget da raggiungere è molto basso per un titolo come Shenmue (appena 2 milioni di dollari dei quali 1,7 già versati!) ma appare chiaro sia solo un inizio per fare breccia nelle case e che dietro il progetto ci sia l’apporto perlomeno di Sony (e anche di Sega).
Vi sono altri stretch goal, tra i quali i sottotitoli in italiano fino ad arrivare a dei minigame per il Baisha Village. Dato il clamore che ovviamente ha suscitato la notizia tutti appaiono facilmente raggiungibili (ci sarà tempo fino al 17 Luglio).

Il teaser mostrato ci offre molto poco ma ci sono taluni casi dove basta un cenno, una parola, un fermo immagine per parlare.
E nei prossimi giorni, nei prossimi mesi e per i prossimi anni, ci saranno fiumi di parole da versare. Fiumi di emozioni da raccontare.

Yu Suzuki begins Kickstarter crowdfunding project for the long awaited sequel.

On June 16th, 2015, Ys Net Inc, represented by Yu Suzuki, will begin a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for the production of “Shenmue III”. The project will last 32 days, ending on July 17th, with the funding goal set at $2 million. Shenmue III will be an official sequel to the Shenmue Series, and is scheduled to be released in December 2017 on PC and PlayStation®4.
