Ted Poley ed Escape From The City

Autore: Ted Poley, cantante rock autore e voce di alcuni brani della saga di Sonic, ha rilasciato un video della recording session di Escape from the City per Sonic Generations.
Il cantante si è trovato a suo agio con la canzone avendone scritto il testo ai tempi di Sonic Adventure II ed a scritto di sperare un giorno di poter suonare in Giappone con Jun Senoue…chissà magari per il prossimo Tokyo Game Show.
This is my holiday gift to the gamers out there, this is from my own private collection. this is a full take all the way through of a recent session to re-do the song ESCAPE FROM THE CITY as a tribute to the 20th anniversary of Sonic. Some,or most of this “take” made the final cut. Its not as easy as it looks, it took many hours to prep and rehearse so that i could nail it in the studio while the clock was ticking,plus, i wrote the lyrics so i was very familiar with the song….this gives a rare behind the scenes look at what it takes to get it right,this was the final take so there are some other vocals already on the track that you will hear leaking out from my headphones. Riguardo la saga di Sonic, Ted Poley ha spesso cantato con Tony Harnell in veste di backing vocalist. Oltre ad Escape from the City ha scritto il testo di Race to Win per Sonic Rivals 2.

Una chitarra per i 20 anni di Sonic
Autore: Le iniziative per festeggiare il 20° anniversario di Sonic non sembrano fermarsi.
Sega of Japan ha infatti stretto un accordo con ESP, il famoso produttore di chitarre, per realizzare una riproduzione della “Sonic Guitar” usata da Jun Senoue sin dai tempi di Sonic Adventure.
La STH-130 SONIC THE HEDGEHOG GUITAR, sarà disponibile in edizione limitata al prezzo di 136500 yen (circa 1200 euro) e sarà possibile prenotarla solo fino al 31 Dicembre 2011.

Crush 40 Tokyo Live
I Crush 40 hanno pubblicato sul loro canale Youtube un nuovo video montaggio di 10 minuti dal loro concerto di Tokyo della scorsa settimana.
Il video include spezzoni di diversi brani come “Sonic Boom”, “I Am All Of Me”, “All Hail Shadow”, “Watch Me Fly”, “Open Your Heart”, “Sonic Heroes”, “What I’m Made Of”, “Live & Learn” ed il brano inedito Song of Hope, scritta da Senoue dopo il terremoto del Giappone.
I Crush 40 tornano Live
I Crush 40 sono tornati ad esibirsi a Tokyo in due concerti, il 30 e 31 Luglio, dove hanno suonato alcuni dei loro pezzi migliori tra cui Live And Learn, il tema principale di Sonic Adventure 2, che potete ascoltare nel video sopra, o direttamente sul canale Youtube dei Crush 40.
Ad accompagnare la storica band di Johnny Gioeli e Jun Senoue (rispettivamente voce e chitarra del gruppo ) c’erano Takeshi Taneda al basso and Toru Kawamura alla batteria.
